PosterPrint is a Windows program for making big posters, signs, and banners using any printer installed in your system. With PosterPrint you can easily print a poster, for example, 7 feet by 10 feet (generally, there’re no size restrictions in the program) on regular A4 sheets using your printer. Certainly, the printed sheets should be stuck together then among themselves. You can load image file into PosterPrint or you can type in text, using any font installed in your system. Possibility of adjustment of the size and the provision of the initial image allows positioning very precisely it concerning borders of sheets.

On the other hand, you can insert a text layer, but it too is limited to a single instance. You need to take great care with the image you decide to load, because it can’t be resized inside the application.

There’s a default layout on which to work with the selected image. The side panel lets you define the width and height of the poster, and automatically creates pages vertically and horizontally. Pages come with dedicated borders on the canvas so you can clearly view the output. There’s also a preview section showing each pace which is printed.

A proper result is best obtained if you have a connected printer. You can quickly access the printer setup panel to tweak output. On the bright side, it’s also possible to save the whole project, as well as JPG pictures of each page. Additional options help you adjust margins and page overlaps to prevent any accidents when printing.

Take one of your images, load into the PosterPrint application, and it will let you zoom in on that picture and print it out on several sheets of paper. Put those sheets of paper together and you have a nice poster to hang on your wall. Or if you have a large image that doesn’t fit onto one sheet of paper, break it up into several, and print it out. Again, put those sheets of paper together and you have your poster.

To get started with PosterPrint, you will have to download a 566KB executable (such a small file will take just a moment to download). Run said executable and you will get to install the application on your PC. 32 and 64-bit flavors of Windows 7, Vista, and XP are supported. A simple setup wizard will aid you to install PosterPrint on these Windows editions.

The poster your want to print out is displayed right in the middle of PosterPrint’s interface. To the right, you will find buttons for zooming in and out, for cropping the image, changing the orientation and document alignment, and some check boxes for several printout options.

Using PosterPrint is not more difficult than opening an image file and hitting the Print button. Once you do so, you will be presented with a window that lets you specify the paper size and quality of the printed image. Then you will be presented with the image you want to print out in PosterPrint’s interface, so you can make any adjustments you want.

Using a regular printer and the PosterPrint application, you can print out some very nice posters.

Pros
PosterPrint supports 32 and 64-bit Windows editions. Take an image, zoom it in, print it out on several sheets of paper, put those sheets together to get a poster. The PosterPrint’s interface is good looking and user friendly.

Cons
An unregistered version does not print zoomed documents on more than 2×2 sheets.
